Procurement is fundamentally changing with the digital “revolution”, Tomas believes that this transformation will bring a completely revised supplier e-commerce ecosystem.
With his many years of experience within Global Direct & Indirect Procurement Category Management, his main focus was on Digital Strategy Transformation.
His numerous leadership positions in multiple industries include:Specialty Chemicals, Rhône-Poulenc (now Sanofi), Rhodia (now Solvay), Chemtura (now Lanxess),Flavor and Fragrances, Firmenich, Telecommunications, Alcatel-Lucent (pre and post merge with Nokia). Many of these large corporations disappeared, merged or were acquired. Because of this, Tomas found the only way to move forward was to adapt, and reinvent the approach.
Before coming to the United States, his international assignments in France, Morocco and South Korea gave him experience to adapt to new multicultural environments. Such transformation and change management became his “way of life”.
Tomas came to the US almost 20 years ago and has both German and US citizenship. He is fluent in German and French as he was educated in French schools in Abidjan,Ivory Coast and later attended universities in Paris, France.
In his spare time, Tomas loves to spend time outside in the Catskills, NY to bike, run, ski, hike, or simply hang out with his family including his 3+2 boys without forgetting his puggle dog “Leo”.
